Construction is already quite advanced but the two lengths of the bridge are still separated by a strip of sea. Two larger and a smaller boat are passing just below. There is a tall pole to the right of the photographer. The far end of the bridge, together with the background, presents a view of the neighbourhoods of Şişhane and Galata, dominated by Galata Tower.</dc:description><dc:description>The picture is part of documentation on the final stages of the construction of Atatürk Bridge. The foundation was laid on 29 August 1936.
