Beschreibung:A man and a boy pose smiling in front of a newspaper stand. The boy is holding an issue of the daily Yeni Gün in his hands. The man is wearing an overcoat and hat. The wooden stand is stuffed with newspapers and magazines. On a magazine cover, just above the head of the boy, is a picture of Lieutenant Mustafa Fehmi Kubilay, who was killed by religious fanatics in the so-called 'Menemen Incident’ on 23 December 1930.
Beschreibung:The photograph appeard in Yeni Gün in the so-called "peoples' column". Süleyman Efendi, presented as a newspaper distributer and owner of a newspaper stand in Eminönü, praises the high and European-like quality of Yeni Gün and reports that it is one of the most sought after newspapers.
