<dc:description>The development in a derelict inner city area, consists of 35 light industrial Units and a refurbished Craft Tower dating from 1862. Eight Units have been created by converting and refurbishing several original buildings on the site. The structure of the building is the first example of the use of wrought iron for bearing purpose in Europe. Refurbishing of the craft tower and adaptation to the new use. The requirements for example against vandalism, against flooding, to fit into the surroundings, to maintain old parts were the principles for the new design. This was answered by small windows in the ground floor areas, the scale with a smaller units fronting, landscaping the forecourts, raising ground floor level and connecting with the adjoining levels, only two storey units on the periphery, and the use of brick as main material.</dc:description>
