Beschreibung:The small town of Višegrad now belongs to Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and is situated about eight kilometres from the Serbian border. The town became known through "The Bridge on the Drina", a novel by Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andrić, which is an homage to the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad.
