Scene in King Peter Street (Kralja Petra, today M. Mustafe Bašeskije). In the centre of the picture is the blurred figure of a pedestrian. He is passing a man in a jacket and hat, seen from the back. On the sidewalk opposite are three young men in suits, heads uncovered, two of them carrying leather briefcases under their arms. Behind them, a wooden fence is completely plastered with identical posters advertising ‘Bata’ shoes. The upper half of the photograph is dominated by a large advertisement for Božidar S. Mlinarević’s ‘First Yugoslav furrier’s workshop’.
