                    <dc:description>The "Reinerhof" is located in the centre of the old part of Graz and is the oldest known non-ecclesiastical building in the city centre: it was first mentioned in 1164. Thorough renovation and adaptation had become essential due to dilapidation. Work was commenced in 1992. Archaeologists revealed some extremely valuable findings that were for the most part integrated into the building. Furthennore, traces of a prehistoric Settlement were discovered. Today the building provides rooms for a Grazer museum, a cafe, the "Volkshilfe", a catering business, a schoolchildren's day-home, four shops and numerous rented flats. The project was subsidised with state funding. </dc:description>
