                    <dc:description>The mansion was sold in 1896 to the Parc Royal and was rebuilt by successive dwellers. There were no internal elements in its structure or ornamentation worth being preserved, except its frames and its 17th century staircase. Because of the density of the program, which consists in a library, a consultation room, records, a picture library, a draft storage area of the premisses was doubled by taking up the available space in the basement. The facades were treated in order to bring out their individual character and identity. The emphasis was deliberately placed on complementarity and contrast, and both on the enhancement of the historic site and on modernity.</dc:description>
