<dc:description>Brede Manor was built 1795-97 as the country residence of the merchant Peter van Hemert. The classical building is attributed to the Court Architect Andreas Kirkerup, whilst the Louis XVI interior was designed by the Court Decorator Joseph Christian Lillie. The original facade has been reestablished, the windows reproduced and the roof re-laid. The interiors have been restored to their original state. In addition, the building is furnished with furniture from the 1790s, so the interiors once again appear as they did in 1797.
