Der vorliegende Band nimmt die sich im erhaltenen Musikalienbestand widerspiegelnde Musikpraxis vom späteren 17. bis zur Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts erstmals in ihrer Gesamtheit in den Blick: Liturgische, organisatorische und aufführungspraktische Aspekte kommen dabei ebenso zur Sprache wie Geschichte Überlieferung und Verbreitung der Sammlung, deren quellenkritische Erschließung neue Grundlagen für das Wissen um die Musik am Salzburger Dom schafft. </dc:description>
  <dc:description xml:lang="eng">As a metropolitan as well as a parish church, Salzburg Cathedral was an important center of sacred music with transregional influence. The publication focuses on the music between the late 17th and the early 19th century, that is reflected in the large surviving music collection: Liturgic, organisational and performative aspects are discussed as well as history and dissemination of the collection, whose investigation provides new foundations for knowledge about music at Salzburg Cathedral.</dc:description>
